Memory Lane

Our good friends, Ben and Tiffany were way overdue for a visit! We headed south to check out their new house and let the kiddos play! They are solely responsible for introducing Brent and I, so we are pretty much indebted to them for the rest of our lives!
Luke getting pumped up to play with girl toys!

Quite a different group from just a few years ago!

And

Turned into this:

Please note Addi's "Pin-ya" (her pink blanket lovie)... Luke stole her Pin-ya and made her cry, so I ran to get him a stand in to stop the fight... Ben calls it "Green-ya"-- Luke has never carried a blanket around, but looked to his elder in Addi to see how things were done! Ha! He also made himself at home checking out every square inch of their house. I am thinking our next trip will involve some Hide and Seek action...

Healthy Again!

After a Sunday nap, our Luke returned to his usual self! We are so thankful for the right antibiotic! Our next stop is the ENT doctor this Friday to see if we need a second set of tubes... I think I already know the answer :)

While we were sitting in the doctor's office, I started singing the Itsy Bittsy Spider to Luke and half way through, I realized he was doing the hand motions! I was SHOCKED! I wonder what else Stepping Stones has taught him?!!! Ha! I tried to get him to do it again... this was the best we could get:

100,000

Happy birthday to my little Honda Accord! You just hit 100K miles and you still look good! We have been through thick and thin, ice and wind, school zones and construction zones. You reliably get me where I need to go, you keep me comfy in the cold winter with your "heat seaters", and you wear well after these 5 years together! We have been through a lot, you and me... we've been all across Texas, you even took a vacation without me to Louisiana on a boys trip-- funny how you have never talked much about that trip?! You have been on many Sam's runs where I've packed you to the brim, you have let dogs run all over you, and you drove my first born home from the hospital. I love you little Honda... here's to the next 100,000!

Prayers for Luke

Luke has had a rough few days... we would covet your prayers to get him through this virus as quickly as possible. Ear infection on Tues. turned into shivers and strange colors on Wed. prompting us to go to Urgent Care- he is at home today with Brent and me tomorrow. Our instructions are to keep the Tylenol and Motrin going to keep his temp. under control until the 72 hr window is over (tonight). Brent said Luke is fussing at the back door to go outside- that sounds like our boy- so we are hoping the worst is behind him. Please keep Luke in your prayers-- he scared his Momma pretty good yesterday.

Quack, Quack says the Duck

We took Luke to see the ducks and he loved them. He didn't quite get the concept of giving the bread away:

Neither did Allie:

Then we played at the park... Luke had a blast!
He thinks he is so cool when he holds Allie's leash:

Blog Stalker

Uh, huh! I have one! Her name is Kristi and I met her at Hob Lob... she has the cutest, smiliest little 10 month old-- I couldn't take my eyes off of his bright blue, happy eyes! We talked about kids for a few minutes and went on our merry way... I left thinking "I hope she doesn't think I smiled too long at her son". One week later, at my cousin Lindsay's baby shower, Kristi came up to me and said hello again. Kristi works with Lindsay and they look at my blog together (on lunch breaks only, of course!)... she said she recognized me at Hob Lob before we started talking but didn't want to freak me out. Kristi, fly that freak flag!!! I love me a sane blog stalker!

Fueling up for the game:

What game you ask?
Golf. Golf is really, really funny.

A close second to BROOM hockey-- a favorite in our house!

Don't Pick!

Luke picked out all of his bluberries from the blueberry bread before eating it. I thought he would tire of blueberries after awhile, but now when I open the refrigerator, Luke starts pointing and doing the seal noise when he sees them. Now, I have to hide the blueberries out of sight to reduce kitchen melt downs. We came home from church yesterday, meanwhile, my parents tried to feed Luke lunch... they said he ate a few bites of hamburger, but I didn't believe them because when I looked over at Luke, I saw bright blue lips and a blue tongue smiling like he won! This is OUT OF CONTROL!!! I hope he doesn't turn into Violet...
Seriously, though... thanks to blueberries and cheese, my child lives to see another day!

Impatiently Waiting

My cousin, Linsday, is just weeks away from being a Momma! We got in one more party before their little boy arrives.
I made her move her scarf to show off the belly!
My mom, me, and about-to-be a grandma, Holly (I am not sure what name she has picked for herself... since they had a "Big Momma", I am sure that she, like my mother, has already picked out what it WON'T be :)
Honey and Luke getting some hugs in-- this was haircut day #2, so he is looking sharp!:

Holly got her creapy troll doll out for Luke to play...
We can't wait to get the phone call that we have another member in our family!... then Luke won't have to play with troll dolls :)

Happy New Year!

Luke made it to 10:20! This picture was about 10:10 :)

Digging in our friend's girly prize drawer! This happens daily in my makeup drawer too!
Again, no family picture here either... I need to get my act together!
