Out on the Town

Jamie and Chad came up to visit us for the weekend, so we had to treat them right!  Dinner at La Hacienda... pony ride was Chad's idea :)  Kidding.
Bowling!
Luke's first ever "split"!!!
Lovin them some music and strobe lights :)
Jamie's "Happy Strike Dance"
Luke's sweet little size 9 shoe.
Playing basketball that would prove to be the best machine to score the most tickets!
Virtual off-roading game
Luke's favorite "game" was the claw candy machine :)
Picking out his prize! They had 1270 points!  Enough for a light saber and more candy :)  Chad's got game.

Family Field Day 2012

Our wonderful church has a Family Festival every spring in an effort to invite those in our community out and to encourage family time... we enjoyed it tremendously!  Jamie and her boyfriend, Chad, came up to play too!
The only way Luke will slide down :)
Buddies, Drew and Luke
Fire truck tour!!!
First pony ride!
Bounce house!
The big boys trying baseball... Chad's turn
Brent's turn
We had a great time and love that our church makes the effort every year!  It was an event to remember!

First Gum Ball!

Fossil Rim

We took Luke to Fossil Rim and had the place to ourselves!  This is a must do!
Who is that feeding the Zebras?  They have a new rule that you have to throw food on the ground, not so when I was a kid.  I think the zebras remember the way things used to be too ;)
Lady pic
Emu- they eat t-shirts.
He's sexy and he knows it

Right in front of us, we heard a shot fired, all the animals scattered, and workers from every direction start running for this guy... they shot a net around him and tackled him to the ground to get a bandage off his leg.  I seriously thought we were watching a reality show.
Lovin us some safari.

Spring Break With The Dinosaurs!

We went back to Dinosaur Valley State Park for Spring Break again this year... our boy LOVES dinosaurs and camping, so this was a dream vacay for sweet Luke!
Big helper:
Apatosaurus and T Rex, 2 favorites at our house!
Memaw sent Luke a $5 bill so he bought Al the dinosaur at the camp store.  They were fast friends.
A quick bluebonnet pic... LOL! Might be our only one this year :)
Dinosaur tracks in the riverbed
Me having a heart attack.  If not Allie trying to jump in the water, Luke monkeying around on jagged rocks.
Crossing the river- sweet boys.
All set in the tent.  My fancy cot did not fit, so this will be the last year in this tent... I told Brent "Bigger family, bigger tent"... he agreed!
Campsite #3.  We learned at our last camping trip in Tyler that if a campsite has electrical outlets, the pros string up Christmas lights to play late into the night.  A BIG improvement!
Throwing rocks in the water at dusk... Allie loves to jump in the river and chase them.  Here is where Brent would later find new dinosaur Al on a night rescue mission after Luke discovered he was missing at bedtime :)
We collected sticks in the woods and Brent made us an awesome fire for making S'mores...
Hiking with Daddy
I have never seen my child look older with his own walking stick.  Where did my baby go?!
Luke took our picture in dinosaur tracks too :)

St. Patty's Day

Brewer tradition states that milk turns green on St. Patrick's Day... Brent and his brother and sister still talk about it.  Here was how it went at our house!

Chris is 30!

Uncle Chris turned 30  a few weeks ago so we headed to Houston to celebrate!

Luke and Chad (Jamie's boyfriend of which we all approve :) played hunting games on Granddaddy's Wii
Memaw bought Luke 5 frogs to find all over the house... Luke threw one up and it STUCK on the ceiling... this is the 4 man effort to get it!

Aunt Jamie read Luke stories at naptime
The boys posed for cookie cake pictures (well, Chad did :)

We ate a birthday dinner at Lupe Tortillas!  Yum!

Heartbreaker!
